Our Story

Where the Woods Meet the Creek

Up Crafts Creek was born from the quiet strength found in nature — the kind of peace you feel standing beside a creek, surrounded by trees, where the noise of the world fades away.

My name is Shanon Holloway, and I started this business out of both necessity and love. My son, Griffon, is a three-time brain cancer survivor. Because of the lingering effects of his illness, Griffon cannot live independently — which means I need to be home with him. Working a traditional job outside the home simply isn't an option for us.

But rather than see that as a limitation, we chose to see it as an opportunity.

Meet Griffon — The Heart Behind Griff's Nest

Griffon has always loved working with his hands. There's something powerful about creating something tangible — something real — and watching it come to life. As part of his journey into adulthood, Griffon has channeled that passion into his very own collection: Griff's Nest.

Every piece in Griff's Nest is entirely his own work — his creativity, his craftsmanship, his pride. It's more than a collection; it's a testament to what's possible when you refuse to let circumstances define you.

Nature as Our North Star

Both Griffon and I find deep comfort in nature. When the weight of our new normal feels heavy, a walk in the woods or time by the water has a way of restoring perspective and peace. That connection to the natural world is woven into everything we make — from the materials we choose to the designs we create.

The inspiration of the woods and the creek gave us our name, our identity, and our purpose: Up Crafts Creek.

Handcrafted with Heart

Every item in our shop is made with care, intention, and a deep appreciation for natural materials. When you shop with us, you're not just buying a product — you're supporting a family, a survivor, and a small business built on resilience and love.

Thank you for being part of our story.
