Please Allow Me to Introduce Myself ...

Hey Y'all, my name is Shanon Holloway. I have a small creative studio that sits along a creek in the Brazos Valley bordering the East Texas Piney Woods. My son is a three-time pediatric cancer survivor; we are extremely thankful and blessed. The recent years have been exceedingly difficult as we adjust to permanent changes that have created a new normal for our family and require me to work from home. I find that peace in nature, sustainability, and taking time to reflect calms my stress and anxiety, drives my creativity, fuels my craft, and saves my mental and physical health. And so Up Crafts Creek was born in the Spring of 2024.

Handmade products are not mass-produced and, as such, have greater attention to detail, and no two are alike. All of my pieces are made with quality, craftsmanship, and with your satisfaction in mind. My offerings are usually made with natural materials and range from handmade jewelry to pottery and artisanal pieces for your home, as well as gifts. The product descriptions will have the details that went into the individual pieces, as they will vary.

My Creative Process

I find inspiration in the natural world around me - the colors, textures, and shapes of the creek, the woods, and the wildlife. I also draw inspiration from my own life experiences and the stories I want to tell through my work. My creative process often involves experimentation and a willingness to try new techniques and materials.

Sustainability and Mindfulness

Sustainability is a core value of Up Crafts Creek. I use eco-friendly materials whenever possible, and I'm always looking for ways to reduce waste and minimize my environmental impact. I also strive to be mindful in my work, taking the time to fully engage with the creative process and to imbue each piece with intention and care.

I encourage you to explore my collections and please feel free to reach out if you would be interested in something specially made to your specifications. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns or if I can be helpful in any way.

Thank you for stopping by!
